Year 4/5 have had a fantastic day developing their PE skills and building strength…wow, children have SO much energy! We have played volleyball, rounders, rugby, team building, tug of war, blind trail and built sand castles. The perfect end to a busy week.
Year 1 enjoyed a visit from P.C. Hinds today where they learnt about the emergency services. They discussed different scenarios that would require help and what to do in an emergency. Thank you P.C. Hinds for an informative visit.
Year 6 have settled in well to their new school. They have been busy continuing their transition projects for science and technology. Here are some of the photos – enjoy…
It was a lovely sunny day so we brought the beach to Pontlliw. The nursery and reception children had their very own beach party! We paddled in the paddling pool, built sand castles, made pretend ice creams and real ice cream sundaes that we could eat. Yum! It was such a fabulous day that even some of the school governors joined us!
Year 1 and Year 4/5 made an awesome team today and buddied up to measure and compare parts of the body. They measured height, hand span, and foot length.
The pupils then took part in various physical activities and described how their bodies felt when they exercised.
This afternoon the year 2 children enjoyed using their Welsh speaking and listening skills whilst making delicious sandwiches for Mr. Grinling, the lighthouse keeper. They had to ask for ingredients and equipment in Welsh, and expressed likes and dislikes confidently. We had some weird and wonderful concoctions, and the children also used their understanding of halves and quarters when cutting their sandwiches. Gwaith Gwych, blwyddyn 2!
