Estimating and checking

Year 5 out their maths skills to the test this afternoon by estimating a diameter of 5 meters. This as the average size of a Celtic round house. Once they had finished estimating, they measured exactly to see how close they were. We learnt that the centre of the circle to the edge is called the radius. Once we had completed our numeracy task we drew the furniture that the Celts had.
