- A celebration 🎉 with friends
After an emotional leavers assembly, Year 6 celebrated their efforts with a trip to the local shop to buy treats and quality time spent with friends at the park. It’s been quite a phenomenal year! We are going to miss your children so much.

- Lighthouse Junk Modelling
The Year 2 children made some excellent junk model lighthouses this week. They were set the task of designing and creating model lighthouses that were at least 25cm high, with a working door and a light at the top. As you can see they worked brilliantly and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Excellent work Year 2!
- Space Travel in Year 2
As part of their topic, this week the Year 2 children enjoyed finding out about the history of space travel. They enjoyed sequencing a timeline of space firsts, researching the planets and were amazed to watch the film of the first moon walk.

As part of our topic, ‘Oh I do like to be beside the Seaside!’ we decided to bring the beach to Pontlliw. The children built sandcastles, made ice cream sundaes, drank ice cool slushies and even paddled. What a fabulous morning!

Today the nursery children have been very busy learning all about shapes. They cut out shapes and used them to make pictures, used magnetic shapes to build, threaded bolts through circular washers and nuts, and made different shape sandwiches. We even danced to the Mr Maker shape song!
