- Perfect Pancakes!

The nursery children had lots of fun today. They used numicon to develop their number skills and used coloured lollipop sticks to make triangles. - Could you crack the code?
Today Blwyddyn 6 were set a challenge to communicate by using the technique of morse code. The children weren’t given any advice on how to do this but had to problem solve with their team to light the bulb and communicate as they did during World War 2.
- Bronze Sports Ambassador Training.
Today our two Year 5 pupils will receive training for their important role as sports ambassadors. They will be trained in writing an action plan, leading warm up games and will be given advice and guidance on how to promote Pontlliw to be an even healthier school.

What a great day we all had. Reception dressed the part and had fun making masks, counting spots and creating fantastic Pudsey pictures. All for a very good cause! We were all so busy, they should be tired teddy bears tonight!

- Delicious Chocolate Apples
This week the Year 2 children made some delicious chocolate apples for a bonfire night treat. The children have been busy learning all about instructions, and practised following and giving instructions during the activity. They then went on to writing their own instructions so other children could make chocolate apples. Gwaith Bendigedig, Blwyddyn 2!
- Helping to feed the birds.
The nursery children were very kind today and made some bird feeders for the birds. First an adult helped them to remove the core and thread string through the middle of the apple, then they used their fine motor skills to push seeds into the apple peel. The birds are going to enjoy eating those.
