  • Bronze Sports Ambassador Training.

    Today our two Year 5 pupils will receive training for their important role as sports ambassadors. They will be trained in writing an action plan, leading warm up games and will be given advice and guidance on how to promote Pontlliw to be an even healthier school.

  • Children in Need – Nursery

    We had a fun morning in nursery today supporting Children in Need. We all wore our comfy pyjamas or something spotty. The children were able to buy toast and cakes and all the money raised will help to support less fortunate children. Thank you for all your kind donations.

    What a great day we all had. Reception dressed the part and had fun making masks, counting spots and creating fantastic Pudsey pictures. All for a very good cause! We were all so busy, they should be tired teddy bears tonight!

    Pontlliw School have had a fantastic morning celebrating Children in Need. Pupils and staff were a wonderful sight to see in our achievers assembly. The children are now looking forward to the toast and cake sell. Thank you all for your donations.

  • Brilliant Banner

    Today was our final day of the project – The Bells Of Santiago. Year 6 have thoroughly enjoyed egniting their creative sides. The banner is outstanding (even if I do say so myself). The banner will now be laminated and hung in the Waterfront Museum in preparation for the exepition in October.

  • The Bells…

    We are currently in progress of day two of our Bells of Santiago music creation project. The children have had the opportunity to listen to, sing, write and play music – piano and bells. Year 6 are thoroughly enjoying the project so far.

  • Creative composition

    Today Stacey Blythe came in to school to compose a song about the Bells of Santiago. We will be performing our song to the juniors tomorrow. We will also be performing to the public and family at the Swansea Waterfront Museum on October 4th… Details to follow.

  • Farewell Fire with Friends.

  • We must be mad…

    The children have just had a ‘refreshing’ swim in the sea. We are now warm after a lovely shower, enjoying a hot chocolate, having a chat about today’s activities and achievements.

  • Playing games and building dens.

    The afternoon we went into Mill Wood to play games, build dens, light fires, make cookie dough and cook the dough. We’ve laughed so hard our stomachs hurt…your children are amazing!

  • Orienteering Antics!

    This morning we have been orienteering in the dunes. The challenge was set…to read the maps, locate the numbers, answer the clues and make it to meeting point first…Mrs Evans team won!!!

  • Day two, Group 2

    Today we’ve been body boarding, for a walk on the beach, taking in the sights and learning about the history of Port Eynon, looking in rock pools and for an ice cream. We have a had a fantastic day, making awesome memories. We are currently playing cards, DS and having a good laugh with mates.

  • The morning after the night before

    After a LATE night, the children are full of beans and are excited for today’s activity … Body boarding and a walk along the coast.

  • Borfa House Day 1

    We have had quite a busy day… First the theatre company and now Borfa House. This afternoon we’ve been playing team games in the dunes and getting blown about the place. The boys are currently having a game of football and the girls are chilling and chatting.

  • The Bells Of Santiago

    Thank you to the Lighthouse Theatre company for their amazing, inspiring and theatrical performance this morning. The production was part of our art project … This was stage one of the project. The children thoroughly enjoyed and also loved the follow up workshop where they developed their acting skills.
