This week reception pupils have enjoyed learning about coding! Pupils programmed their bee-bots to move along our ‘bear hunt’ map to reach their destination. Pupils had to use their numeracy skills to count how many squares were needed to reach each point on our map.

- Measuring Trees
Today the Year 2s investigated how the girth of trees can tell us about the age of the trees. The boys and girls enjoyed working together outdoors using measuring tapes, and they recorded their findings using tables.
- Learning about our bodies!
Reception have really enjoyed learning all about the human skeleton this week and the different parts of the body! They particularly enjoyed creating their own skeletons.
- All about organs ❤️ 🧠
Year 5 have been learning all about the organs in our bodies during our science lessons. We had six groups, each looking at one of the following: Brain Lungs Heart Kidneys Liver Digestive system Each group researched their chosen organ and has created a fact filled PowerPoint to present back to the class next week!
- Nursery’s Listening Walk
The nursery children went on a listening walk today. They especially enjoyed walking around the nature area, where they heard birds singing and the leaves on the trees rustling in the wind.
- Digital Dragons – Sphero Test
The Digital Dragons were the first group of students to try out our new Sphero devices today. Pupils from Reception to Year 6 moved the spheros around the hall remotely. We will be looking at coding these devices next meeting and helping our classes use them in their lessons this half term.
