- Fairy Tale Music.
Did you know a drawing can make beautiful music? Reception have been practising their pig drawing skills using ‘Music lab’. The children designed their own pigs on the screen and pressed play, each shape created a sound which the Reception children danced around to. We have some Mozart’s in the making in Recption!

- Year 2 Welsh Music and Fitness Session
Today the Year 2 children thoroughly enjoyed participating in their Welsh music and fitness session, which was run by the company Ynni Da.
- Painting Our Fossil Tiles
This week the Year 2 children painted their clay fossil tiles. The detail of the dinosaur prints really showed up, and the children enjoyed comparing and discussing their designs.
- Hat testing trial
What better day to test our hats than on a cold winters day…most hats kept our heads warm. Pupils have learnt a lot about insulation and conducting heat and they applied their knowledge to real life situations. So much so, some are now wearing their hats to school on a daily basis.
- Another Busy Day in Nursery.
Once again the nursery children have been busy, busy, busy! They have been painting, making models with playdough, building tall towers with wooden blocks, and making 3D shapes with the polydron. They even had time to colour, read some books, and have a tea party. What a busy morning!

- Noson Tan Gwyllt
Super Welsh and ICT skills were shown by the Year 2 children this week. They enjoyed writing in Welsh about different fireworks that they like, and used paint tools online to create some very effective firework pictures.
- Let’s Pretend!

- Making Chocolate Apples
This week the Year 2 children made some delicious chocolate apple treats. As part of their work on instruction texts, the children worked together to sequence the jumbled instructions. They then read and followed the instructions carefully to make their tasty treats.

A huge ‘Thank You’ to everybody who supported our Scholastic book fair this week. The total spent was £789.30, which means we will receive 60% commission on all purchases! This afternoon Year 6 have been taking a lead in their learning in preparation for their transition project in the Comprehensive in the Summer. The topic of the project is Health and Well-being. The Year 2 children made some excellent junk model lighthouses this week. They were set the task of designing and creating model lighthouses that were at least 25cm high, with a working door and a light at the top.
