• To help everyone in our school understand how to keep safe when using technology at home.
• To share information to all of the pupils in our school on the different devices, apps and websites that they can use to help their learning.
• To help others understand the different rules of games or apps they are using and new technology that is being used e.g. AI.
• To talk about different days/events that are important for everyone when using technology and will make others want to use it too e.g. Safer Internet Day.

Meeting Notes:

26/9/24 Meeting 1

We started by welcoming everyone to the Digital Dragons! We discussed our aims of the year and what our responsibilities were as the Digital Dragons. Our Y6 pupils all did a speech on why they wanted to be Chair, Vice Chair or Secretary. We then did an anonymous vote. We took a picture of our members for X. 

10/10/24 Meeting 2  

We started to make a plan for what actions we could carry out to meet our aims. Some of these actions were;

• Create a digital safety poster to display around school.
• Create a Minecraft online safety world that includes top tips for being safe online.
• Host Safer Internet Week and host an online safety assembly.
• Create information leaflets that can be given out to parents/pupils.
• Update our school online safety page with information.
• Send emails to parents with up to date information.

We decided that we were going to start with creating the online safety posters during our next meeting.

24/10/24 Meeting 3

We looked at different information leaflets for online safety. We learnt about SMART online safety rules and learnt about what each letter stands for. We then started to design our own posters to put up across the school.

We chose if we wanted to make the poster with paper, colourings or using Hwb.
