Patterns in Nature

As part of their Sunflower Challenge, Cherry Blossom class have been learning about patterns in nature. One of the children in Dosbarth Fir knew all about the Fibonacci pattern that makes the spirals on the sunflower’s face and he came to tell Dosbarth Cherry Blossom all about it. He explained how the pattern worked and also showed them other places in nature where they could find spiral patterns. He showed them the patterns on shells and the bottom of pine cones and even brought in some snails so the children could see the spirals on their shells.
