As part of our Big Question ‘Why Do We Celebrate?’, Dosbarth Beech have been developing their research skills to find out about Christmas traditions around the world. The children learned how to locate and understand information through reading and discussing a range of non-fiction texts. They looked closely at maps to locate different countries, and enjoyed recording their findings. They were very interested in the flags of the countries, and found the different traditions very interesting! Every morning we are also learning how to say ‘Merry Christmas’ in various languages, which is great fun!
