This week Dosbarth Beech discussed the story ‘Nobody Owns the Sky’, which tells the story of Bessie Coleman. Bessie was the first Africa American woman and the first Native American to hold a pilot license. The children discussed the challenges she faced, and participated in a very mature discussion about diversity, through exploring the feelings of many people in the story.
