Recently, Dosbarth Fir looked at the artwork of Welsh artist Kathryn Le Grice and how she used colour in some of her pieces. This week, we have been looking at the French artist Henri Matisse and thought about how he used colour in some of his artwork. Using the colour wheel and contrasting colours as a focus, the pupils have been busy creating their own collages similar to the style of Matisse- they came up with some fantastic creations! They also enjoyed exploring colour mixing to create their own colour wheels too. Da iawn Dosbarth Fir!
