Today, the Year 3’s were visited by Mr. Tavender, a computer science teacher from Pontarddulais Comprehensive school. He came in to work with the children to enhance their understanding of programming and coding. The children were introduced to ‘Scratch’ which is a programming language where children can programme and share interactive media such as stories, games and animation. As the children create with Scratch, they learn to think creatively, work collaboratively and reason systematically. What a fun afternoon had by all! ?
