This week, Dosbarth Beech were asked the question ‘How can we find out about what types of houses there are in Pontlliw?’. The children discussed ways to collect the data, and decided that using tallying and a table would be the most efficient method. We learned about the names of the types of houses in Welsh, such as ty ar wahan, ty par, and ty teras. We then used our Welsh language skills when collecting the data. Back in school the children then presented their data in bar charts. They also asked their friends the question ‘Ble wyt ti’n byw?’ to find out about the types of houses that they live in, and recorded their findings in Welsh sentences.
