This year, the Year 2 children are part of the Safety Soldiers pupil voice group. This term they have been focusing on road safety, and the children decided that they wanted to keep all the children in school safe when they are coming to school and leaving school, especially now the mornings and evenings are darker. The children have worked with the PTA, Go Safe Cymru and the Co-op Funeral Care, Gorseinon, to get safety reflectors for every child in the school. The reflectors will be handed out in school next week, as part of Road Safety Week. The children wanted to find out how reflectors work, so this week we did an investigation where we compared light sources and reflectors, and the children understood the differences. They were then able to show what they found out by creating tables and labelled diagrams. Super investigating, Year 2!
