Today, the children have been learning all about shadows. They having been finding out how they are formed and what happens when we move an object closer or further away from the light source. They made shadow puppets by drawing around animal stencils. They then used a torch pointed at a wall and put their puppets in front of it. They experimented moving them closer and further away from the light and measured the shadows using a centimetre ruler to find the difference between the both. They discovered that the closer the object is to the light source, the bigger the shadow will be. Great investigating Dosbarth Beech!
