Today was our ‘Hook Day’ in Dosbarth Beech for this term’s big question, ‘Why Do We Celebrate?’ On a hook day, the children undertake activities which ‘hook’ them into the big question, and for this hook day they were asked to plan and host a ‘Welcome to Year 2’ party. We spent the morning identifying all the important elements of celebrations. We then made decorations and party hats, and used our sharing and Welsh skills to organise party bags. After lunch, it was time to party! We enjoyed delicious plates of party food, danced and played party games. What a super start to our big question. We can’t wait to learn more about celebrations this term!
