This week the Year 2 children were set a challenge: investigate which material would be the most suitable for making an umbrella. They came up with super suggestions for their method, developed super labelled diagrams and made excellent predictions. The children showed an excellent understanding of fair testing, deciding which variables they would change and which things must be kept the same. They thoroughly enjoyed testing lots of materials and recorded their results very carefully. Super language was used when they discussed their observations, such as waterproof and absorb. Finally, the children compared their results with their predictions and decided which material would be the most suitable, giving excellent reasons why. Gwaith gwych, Blwyddyn 2!
