The Year 2 children have been busy investigating which material would be the most suitable for making an umbrella. They decided that the best material would be flexible, waterproof and strong. They made some super predictions and had great ideas for testing the materials. They enjoyed writing a clear method and drawing labelled diagrams. Results were then carefully recorded. The children could say whether their predictions were right or wrong, and they came to sensible conclusions based on their findings. Some children even suggested ways to improve the investigation.
