This week, the Year 2 children have been investigating properties of 3D shapes. They looked at the number of faces, vertices and edges of 3D shapes. They also learned complex new vocabulary, such as hemisphere, square-based pyramid and triangular prism! Today, the children applied their learning by going on a 3D shape hunt… with a difference! They had to use their knowledge of 3D shape properties to solve lots of tricky clues. The children then used QR codes to check their answers. Some pupils enjoyed using Hwb to make charts showing how many 3D shapes they found. The children also enoyed playing a loop card game based on 3D shape properties. Gwaith gwych, Blwyddyn 2!
