Our topic this term is ‘Mythical Creatures’ so for the last couple of weeks we have been having fun with a lot of ‘fairy and troll’ activities. The children decided they wanted to make trolls with colourful hair so we carried out a chromatography activity. They used felt pens to draw lines onto filter paper, then used a pipette to slowly drip water onto the paper. They were fascinated to see the colours separate and travel along the filter paper. They then stuck the colourful paper onto their troll. They look amazing! Gwaith da!
