Using J2e Code, the children have been working very hard creating algorithms to develop their understanding of block coding.

During ICT this week, Year 3 were challenged to create a simple animation using the Pac-Man sprites. In order to make it more realistic, they made their mouths open and close when they were speaking – we even had complete conversations that had been created purely through code!

After mastering some of this basic code, the children started to experiment with ‘if’ commands. Using a bat and spider sprite, they created code so that the spider would yell if it touched the bat!
