Year 1 are having so much fun this week creating their own treasure maps!
We started off by talking about the different types of maps and why they are useful. As we are learning about Pirates, we then looked at treasure maps and set ourselves a challenge to make our own (we even painted them with tea to make them look authentic!).
We then applied our Mathematics skills to go on a treasure hunt, where we had to use a lot of positional language and give directions to our friends to find the hidden treasure!
