Reception pupils had lots of fun learning all about how to be safe when using the internet and their digital devices today. We started by discussing some popular apps and websites that pupils recognised and what they are for. We then looked at the story of Smartie the Penguin who taught us all about how pupils should speak to an adult if pupils ever came across something unfamiliar or unkind online.

Pupils loved singing Smarties special song to remember how to keep safe online- pupils even then wrote their own second verse for the song and made up corresponding actions.
