As we have been learning about ‘real life’ superheroes and Remembrance Day, we were very lucky to have Mr Commander came in to tell us about his role in the army today. The children learnt lots about what his job entailed and were fascinated by the different objects and artefacts he showed them. They couldn’t believe that Mr Commander used to jump out of planes and helicopters and were even more shocked to learn that the equipment he carried weighed the same amount as several children! They were really interested and thought of some fantastic questions to ask at the end too. A huge thank you to Mr Commander for taking the time to teach us about his important role.
