Year 1 have had a wonderful day at the Waterfront Museum and surrounding area. We started by meeting the famous Welsh pirate, Barti Ddu, who taught us all about the life of a pirate. We found out lots of new facts and were surprised to learn that pirate life differs quite greatly from what we see in books and films. The children loved exploring the different artefacts and enjoyed preparing the cannon for battle! We then had a lovely walk around the marina, where we spotted lots of little fish. We ventured onto the beach, where we were thrilled to find crabs, cockles and mermaid purses.
The boys and girls have had a fantastic day and behaved impeccably- we were so proud when members of the public even commented on how well behaved they were. Well done Year 1!
