We are very proud to be a part of the Erasmus Plus Project and have continued to work on our two year project ‘Developing healthy, creative citizens’.
Below you will be able to see information and pieces of work created by our wonderful pupils during each set activity.
Current Activity- ‘Identitat und Kreativitat- Das bin ich!/ Identity and creativity- That’s me!
During this activity, each year group thoroughly enjoyed creating their own piece of art work which centred around the following concepts; what makes me special, dealing with identify and individuality, strengthening self-confidence and self-worth, encouraging and enjoying creativity. Therefore, meeting the aim of developing pupils understanding of how everyone is different, special and valuable.
Here is a video explaining our project in detail:
Activity 2- Healthy Eating Activity
During this activity, each year group enjoyed learning all about healthy foods, what a balanced diet is and why it is important for our health. Activities included, growing our own vegetables, learning about food around the world, sampling local produce, becoming sugar smart and learning about food waste.
Please find below a link to a digital book exploring the work and activities completed during this activity:
Activity 3- Mental Well-being
During this activity, each class chose 3 emotions that they found difficult to deal with. They then read books about emotions and watched videos about ‘Why we feel emotions’. Each class then thought of their own emotion tool kits that they could utilise in class to help them deal with difficult emotions.
The children all enjoyed creating these emotion tools and are using them in class!
Activity 4- The Flexible Classroom!
During these activities, the children have enjoyed exploring different areas around their classroom to learn in. The children have enjoyed replacing some of the furniture in their classrooms with standing desks, bouncy balls, sofas and more! The children have enjoyed exploring this both in the indoors and outdoors, and most importantly have enjoyed choosing which areas that they learn in.
