Can We Help Our Planet?

This week Year 6 have been developing their Humanities skills and learning about renewable and natural resources.
Pupils learnt lots of new information, such as, how steel is made, how energy is produced into electricity.
We’ve been learning about wind farms, solar farms, hydroelectric reservoirs and power plants.
We also compared how the use of energy sources have changed over time since WW2.
One aspect which we debated about was the need to chop down trees to build houses. This led us onto finding out about trees in our local ares. We used the British Trees Woodland Trust app to classify trees, reading discriptions and uploading our trees to the app.
