As we have been learning about Africa, we read the story Handa’s Surprise and the children used HWB to write shopping lists, containing the fruit that was taken by the animals, in Welsh. As we have also been practising our money skills this week, we had our own fruit shop in class where the children had the opportunity to ‘buy’ fruit from the story, but they had to make sure they had the right money to pay first! The children enjoyed buying (and eating!) lots of healthy treats…
