As part of World Mental Health Day, year 3 have been participating in tasks to build their mental and emotional well-being and to develop confidence, resilience and empathy. They discussed what mental health is and that there are many things that can positively and negatively affect our mental health. We can all experience times of having uncomfortable feelings and thoughts and they discussed strategies that can be use during these times. The children then filled in a ‘Helping Heart’ which suggested strategies that could be used to make them feel better and also strategies they could use to help a friend feel better. Excellent ideas, well done!
