Year 5 have been celebrating World Book Day by dressing up as their favourite characters and learning all about the famous British writer and poet, Benjamin Zephaniah. We researched Benjamin and created PowerPoints about his life, music and poetry before performing some of his poems for the rest of the class. We enjoyed learning about many of the different issues raised by his poetry and discussing his poetry style!
