Today, as part of Anti-Bullying week, the Year 2s watched the Pixar short film ‘For the Birds’. The film helped us to identify different forms of bullying, including physical, emotional and mental. We discussed the emotions of one of the characters, and the actions that led him to feel different emotions. The children showed lots of maturity when discussing the film. We then read and discussed a story entitled ‘I won’t be made to feel bad’, which helped us to think about ways to react if we experience or witness different forms of bullying. The children are keen to show kindness by looking out for each other and to think of others before acting. What a caring class you are, Year 2!
