Today was the day that the nursery class set their butterflies free. The nursery children have been learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. A few weeks ago we had some tiny little caterpillars given to us. Within a couple of weeks they had grown much bigger and we watched as each caterpillar turned into a chrysalis. We then waited with great excitement, until five beautiful butterflies emerged. The children were fascinated by the transformation.
