What a successful morning Pontlliw had in the very first Pontarddulais cluster schools spelling competition. Pupils from progression steps 2 and 3 worked together in teams to compete against our cluster schools. The children had to work together to see how many different words they could make out of a selection of vowels and consonants in 5 minutes. They played 5 rounds before moving on to the anagram rounds. The children represented Pontlliw so well, with their impeccable behaviour and wonderful enthusiasm. Our PS2 team (Y1-3) came in 3rd place, and our PS3 team (Y4-6) came in first place! Well done to all our pupils who took part, and a big thank you to Pontarddulais Comprehensive School for the warm welcome that we received.
