Today the Year 2 children celebrated St. David’s Day in style. The children dressed to impress, and looked fantastic in their Welsh costumes. They enjoyed participating in our school Eisteddfod, during which they sang with hwyl and recited our class poem with gusto! Back in class, we learned about St. David and the different ways that people celebrate being Welsh. The children then worked their way through lots of activities, including Welsh flag craft using 2D shape collages, sequencing the story of St. David, listening to the story of Y Ddraig Coch, making junk models of St. David, Welsh wordsearches, making Welsh dragons in the construction area and playing lots of Welsh games online. What a fun day we had!
