In Reception today, the children began their learning in Maths.
Some of the children looked at the properties of shape and searched the class for the shapes in the environment.
Finally using their cutting skills, created a dinosaur picture from the 2d shapes they had described. Wonderful work!
When Reception thought they could rest, they also practised their numbers with the Numicon. The children matched the number cards to the Numicon shapes, then completed the Numicon mat challenge, and filled their boards. Reception have made a great start this week!
