Today Year 2 discussed the significance of Remembrance Day. We learned about why we wear poppies and spent time discussing the events which happen around the country on this special day. The boys and girls also watched a very moving short film which helped them to visualise where the poppy symbol originated from. At 11am we participated in our whole school silence, with the children showing lots of maturity. We have had a special day reflecting on why we are thankful for those that gave their lives for us.
