As part of our topic, “Out of this World!” the nursery children are learning all about space rockets, so we decided to make our own rocket out of cardboard and a lot of sellotape. The children used their fine motor skills to make astronaut tools out of nuts and bolts, then they decorated their rocket and Mrs Lewis and Mrs Rees helped them to assemble it. The children were very proud of the end result. We even made some chocolate moon rocks, yum!
