At the beginning of every topic, we ask the pupils to activate any knowledge they have of the topic, in order for us to find out what they already know and to enable us to take their learning forward.
We also ask pupils to complete a topic grid of what they would like to learn; this develops child lead learning as well as maintaining pupils engagement and enthusiasm throughout the topic.
This morning, pupils completed posters of knowledge for our World War 2 display, researched information, whilst listening to music sung by Vera Lynn from the WW2 era.
