This half term the children are taking part in athletics as part of their P.E sessions. Today’s focus was throwing for distance. They started off practising throwing a bean bag, aiming to get into their partner’s hoop. They estimated distances and took it in turns to measure the distance using a trundle wheel. After that they tried to get their beanbag to reach 5, 10 and then 15 metres, scoring more points the further they reached. Fantastic throwing, estimating and measuring skills Year 2!
