What a fantastic time the Year 3’s had visiting the Liberty Stadium today.  In the morning, the children took part in a healthy eating workshop where they found out lots of important information about different food groups and what types of food professional rugby players eat to keep themselves fit and healthy. After listening carefully to the information,  they were challenged to make their own healthy sandwich. They had lots of different ingredients to chose from but they had to pick really carefully to ensure their sandwich had the correct proportion of carbohydrate, protein, dairy and fat as outlined on the ‘Eat Well’ plate. What a brilliant effort boys and girls, your sandwiches looked amazing! I hope you enjoyed eating them.

In the afternoon, the children were given a tour of the stadium. They thoroughly enjoyed this experience and loved having the opportunity to see what it was like to be in the shoes of a professional rugby player, even if it was just for a day!
