Well, what a busy week we are having in Year 2! We have been learning all about Bonfire Night as part of our big question ‘Why do we celebrate?’. The children have completed so many activities where they used lots of skills. We have enjoyed creating shape, acrostic and senses poems. We used our problem solving skills to complete fireworks maths tasks. We learned about Guy Fawkes and sequenced the story onto timelines. We also learned about firework safety and made posters to encourage people to stay safe on bonfire night. We used our Welsh skills and wrote about all the things we like to see and do on bonfire night, and we even got to make some delicious chocolate apples.
