As part of their topic ‘Changes’, the Year 2 children have been learning about the life cycle of a chicken. On Monday, our class eggs finally arrived and today the chicks started hatching! The children have been so excited to witness this first hand, and they have had the opportunity to apply their knowledge of the life cycle. The children are busy writing diaries of the changes, and they have also produced some fantastic explanations about the life cycle. We are also creating a stop motion animation showing how the chicks hatch. We are looking forward to watching more chicks hatch throughout the day, and next week we will finally get to hold our feathered friends!
