This week, the Year 2s enjoyed the story ‘Can’t You Sleep, Little Bear’ by Martin Waddell. In the story, Little Bear is scared of the dark and cannot get to sleep. We decided we would investigate which lights would be suitable to help Little Bear with his problem. We decided on a method, drew labelled diagrams of what we would do, wrote lists of equipment and made super predictions before we made a dark cave in which to test out various sources of lights. We recorded our observations carefully in a table, and tomorrow we will be looking at our results and writing conclusions about which light would be the best for Little Bear. We have been super scientists this week, and the children have thoroughly enjoyed their investigation!
