Today the Year 2 children completed their candle experiment. They discovered that the pillar candle would be the best one to send to Santa because it burned the slowest, which would then mean that the elves would have light for longer so that they could make more toys during the power cut. They completed tables using their results and then made bar charts on Hwb showing the difference in the length of each candle before and after burning. They then learnt how to send emails, and enjoyed emailing Santa to let him know about the results of their experiment. Hopefully we will receive a reply soon…
