Today the Year 2s enjoyed their topic ‘Hook Day’, which is the entry point to this term’s big question ‘Why do we celebrate?’. In the morning, the children decided what they would need to do to plan a ‘Welcome to Year 2’ party. They worked together to make some super decorations, organise party bags and make lots of confetti. In the afternoon they organised lots of dancing and games and enjoyed their party food (thank you Mums and Dads!). What a wonderful start to the term. The children are excited to learn all about different celebrations throughout the term.
