Last week we were learning about the story of the Little Fir Tree. We began by closely studying illustrations from the book and developed questions, whilst using our prediction skills. We then looked at rhyming words linked to the text. We created a fantastic piece of shared writing, using lots of wow words, different sentence starters, connectives and a range of punctuation. We then further developed our fine motor skills by creating fir tree models, and enjoyed trying out different ways of joining the pieces together… There was glue and Sellotape everywhere!!!
