In Year 1, we are very lucky that we have been learning about the role of the police because we had our very own crime scene to investigate in class this week. We arrived in class to find that there were some mysterious footprints and various other clues, so the children (armed with their notebooks to record) took on the challenge of finding out what had happened (they were convinced the Evil Pea had returned!). They wrote down their observations of the crime scene and they described the evidence, using different adjectives. They then used their numeracy skills to measure and record the measurements of the hand and footprints found at the scene. The children shared some of their findings with Mrs Norman who was very impressed with their observation skills- we definitely have some budding detectives in our class!
