Dosbarth Cherry Blossom have had lots of fun celebrating World Book Day. They came to school dressed as their favourite book character or wearing their pyjamas. They looked at the book ’Nature Trail’ by Benjamin Zephaniah and then participated in a range of activities connected to the book. The book is a poetry book that emphasises the beauty of nature and how much beauty is in our gardens. The children planted a sunflower and once it has started to grow they can take it home to plant in their garden. They also painted different flowers that they would like in their garden but they didn’t use a paintbrush, they used a plastic fork! The book also talks about all the different insects that you can find in the garden, so the children went on a bug hunt.
