Before diving in to our new big question for the Spring Term- ‘How does Light and Sound affect our everyday lives?’, Year 3 had lots of fun learning all about the etymology of key vocabulary that we will be using this term. The children enjoyed researching the etymology of each word, searching for its meaning in dictionaries and writing their own examples.

They are now looking forward to applying their understanding of words such as orbit, prism, opaque etc in their writing!
