In December, Year 6 decided to take part in a scheme called ‘Hearts for Homes’.
As we couldn’t take part in our annual community carol services, the pupils wanted to spread their love in other ways. Each child designed a heart for the residents of Llys Y Werin Care Home, in Gorseinon, to display in their windows.
Each child took it upon themselves to write a little messages on their art work.
Messages such as:
Cariad, cwtch, hope, peace, believe in yourself, never give up, love and strength.
The care home were delighted when I delivered them today, along with some biscuits for all to share.
